JAMMU, Nov 27
NCC Group Srinagar is set to kick off a series of NCC Camps aimed at selecting and training NCC Cadets from the Union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh. The camps, scheduled to be held at NCC Training Academy Nagrota, will run from 28th November 2023 to 27th December 2023.
The primary objective of these camps is to meticulously screen volunteer cadets from all 10 NCC Battalions within the Directorate, in order to form the JK&L Directorate contingent for the upcoming NCC Republic Day Camp at New Delhi. This prestigious camp is slated to take place from 1st January to 29th January 2024.
The selected cadets will undergo rigorous selection processes and comprehensive training sessions. Their preparation will encompass a diverse range of activities scheduled at the Republic Day Camp in New Delhi. These activities include marching on Kartavya-Path, participation in the Guard of Honour for esteemed dignitaries including the Prime Minister, engagement in the prestigious PM Rally, showcasing cultural programs, and the selection of the All India Best NCC Cadet. Notably, this year’s marching contingent for Kartavya-Path will exclusively feature Girl cadets. Furthermore, a select group of ex-NCC cadets, who previously participated in the Republic Day Camp 2023, have been enlisted to impart their experiences and mentor the aspiring cadets as they brace themselves for this rigorous selection and training program.
To ensure the optimal performance and preparedness of the NCC cadets at Nagrota, comprehensive administrative and training support is being provided. The emphasis remains on enabling these cadets to train diligently and shine at the distinguished Republic Day Camp.
