MIER College of Education is proud to announce that its Extension Unit has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Directorate of Ayush, Union Territory of J&K . Dr. Mohan Singh, Director, Ayush presented the award in an impressive function which prominent officials from the Ayush Department attended on November 18, 2023. This recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the college to social service and community outreach and to make a tangible impact on the lives of the surrounding communities. The extension unit has been instrumental in organizing a plethora of initiatives, including workshops, health camps, and awareness drives, all geared towards empowering the community with knowledge and fostering positive behavioural changes. Dr. Vandana Dogra, Medical Superintendent, Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu also appreciated the efforts of the college in carrying out extension and outreach activities that have helped educate people about sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition.
Commenting on the achievement, Prof. Adit Gupta, Principal expressed gratitude for the honour and said that the Extension Unit’s dedication to community outreach has not only enriched the lives of those it serves but has also instilled a strong sense of social responsibility among the college’s students and faculty. He avowed that the College shall remain dedicated to providing quality education, fostering community engagement, and contributing positively to society.
