DC Ramban chairs DCDC meet to discuss promotion of Cooperative movement

RAMBAN, Nov 25
District Cooperative Development Committee meeting was held here today under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives briefly highlighted the agenda of the meeting along with the progress achieved on various initiatives like Jan Aushadi Kendras, PMKSK, CSC, Computerization of PACS etc.
Thereafter, a detailed discussion was held wherein the DC stressed on marketing of local products produced by Cooperative societies. He suggested that the administration and Cooperative Societies can work in PPP mode where the administration would act as the facilitator and provide necessary support to the Cooperative Societies in order to market their products & benefit the farmers.
The DC further emphasized to submit data of all activities carried out by Cooperatives along with the number of farmers associated & to work towards creating a viable & sustainable Cooperative model. He also advised the other line departments like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, NABARD, and Horticulture to work in close coordination with the Cooperative Department in order to strengthen the Cooperative movement in the district.
This meeting was attended by ADDC, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma, ACR, Ramban Giasul Haq, CAO, CAHO, DDM NABARD, DMCSC, AD Fisheries & other committee members.
