Tribal Students flagged off for Scientific Exposure Tour to CSIR IIIM Jammu

In a momentous event organized under the aegis of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal on Thursday flagged off a group of twenty tribal students on an enlightening educational tour to CSIR IIIM Jammu. The objective of this educational tour is to provide these tribal students with a firsthand experience of cutting-edge Research and Development activities, immersing them in the captivating world of science. The group comprises 10 students from Eklavya Model Residential School in Gurdhan Balla and Hubbi, 5 from Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel Rajouri, and another 5 from Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel Kalakote.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal took the opportunity to engage with the students encouraging them to extract the maximum benefit from this unique educational experience. During the interaction, he underscored the pivotal role education plays in shaping a brighter future and highlighted various tribal welfare initiatives that the Government has undertaken.
The event not only signifies a commitment to educational enrichment but also underscores the importance of empowering tribal communities through exposure to the advancements in the scientific realm. Such initiatives contribute to breaking barriers and creating pathways for these students to explore and embrace opportunities beyond conventional boundaries.
As these tribal students embark on this educational tour, the hope is that their horizons will broaden, fostering a passion for knowledge and instilling a sense of pride in their cultural heritage. The dedication of the administration toward tribal welfare reflects a holistic approach towards building a more equitable and progressive society.
Among the others, the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Tehsil Social Welfare Officer and other concerned stakeholders were present during the event.
