JKPCC General Secretary and DDC Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony paid heartfelt tributes to the four Indian Army personnel including two Captains and a JCO who bravely sacrificed their lives in a recent attack by terrorists in Kalakote area of Rajouri district. With deep regret and indignation, he condemned the cowardly act of terrorists, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of these martyrs who laid down their lives for the safety and integrity of the nation. “These brave soldiers epitomized the spirit of valor and selflessness. They lived for India, served for India, and embraced martyrdom for India. Their sacrifice will forever be etched in our hearts and minds, a testament to their unwavering patriotism and dedication to duty,” this was stated by Tony after starting a blacktopping of road work in Sae Khurd Panchayat leading to playground. On the occasion, Sarpanch Sarabjeet Singh, Panch Mama Jhinda Singh, Sarpanch Sham Lal Bhagat senior SC leader and prominent people of the area were present.
The senior Congress leader expressed his deepest condolences with the bereaved families of the martyrs, assuring them of the nation’s unwavering support during this time of grief. He also urged the Modi-led government to take decisive action against Pakistan, emphasizing the need to curb such acts of violence and protect the nation’s borders. “The Modi government must make some serious efforts to stop the incidents of terrorism,” Tony asserted. “Pakistan is striking at its will, and we cannot allow this to continue.”
Tony highlighted the alarming pattern of attacks in the Rajouri and Poonch districts, pointing out that this incident occurred just six months after a similar strike. He called for a thorough investigation into these attacks and a comprehensive strategy to strengthen security measures in the region.
“The nation stands united against such cowardly acts of terror,” Tony said, adding “We will not be cowed by these attacks. The sacrifices of our martyrs will not be in vain.”
“We owe it to our martyrs and their families to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain. We will continue to fight for a peaceful and secure India, where the brave men and women of our armed forces are not subjected to such senseless acts of violence,” he added.
