Congress concerned over alarming rise in terror activities

Congress has expressed serious concerns over the alarming rise in the terror activities in Rajouri Poonch while expressing deep shock over of loss of precious lives of four army men including two army officers & a JCO besides injuries to a Major and other soldiers in a militant attack in Kalakote area of Rajouri district last evening.
Expressing great shock over the loss, the party expressed grave concern over the alarming rising in terrorism especially in twin border districts.
JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Shri Raman Bhalla , Senior Vice president Shri Ravinder Sharma DCC President Shabir Ahmed Khan and other senior leaders have paid rich tribute s to the martyred brave jawans & expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families.
They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
They said the party stands firmly with our forces to defeat the serious threat of militancy which has revived in Rajouri Poonchh border belt ,as the series of incidents and their dimensions indicated.
They said that Congress party had already cautioned in the recent past – raised concern based on local inputs about the presence of terrorists in the kalakote area and it’s adjoining parts and had demanded strengthening of security network.
The party had even written to the Lt Governor about the situation and demanded upgrading security & setting up of security posts in vulnerable areas in view of the serious threat.
The party fully stands behind army and security forces to deal with the threat of terrorism and to ensure the safety and security of common people and the jawans.
