Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today conducted a public meeting at Dak Bunglow Barmeen in Ghordi Block of Sub Division Ramnagar as part of the weekly Block Diwas.
DDC member Rakesh Chander Sharma (Bodhi), BDC Chairman Aarti Sharma, SDM Ramnagar Shishir Gupta, ADDC Ghan Sham Singh, and various senior officers.
During the camp, local PRI members and the general public raised pressing issues, including the need for a J&K Bank branch in Barmeen, unscheduled power cuts, pending payments of MGNREGA works, requirements for electricity poles, road construction and maintenance, staff shortages in GHS Satyalta, establishment of an Anganwadi center at Upper Barmeen, school upgradations, forest clearance and infrastructure improvements in schools.
While addressing the concerns, the Deputy Commissioner assured swift redressal on a priority basis. On-the-spot directions were issued to relevant officers from different departments to ensure the prompt resolution of the raised issues.
Emphasizing the importance of such grievance redressal camps, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the District Administration Udhampur is committed to addressing local issues promptly through on-the-ground assessments during these events.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner handed over Shiksha Mitras certificates among the volunteers.
