As a part of ongoing week long Programme of Audit Diwas (19-24 Nov. 2023), a student interaction cum debate programme was organised by the Office of the Principal Accountant General at the auditorium hall of SKUAST Jammu.
The event started with the lighting of lamp by the esteemed dignitaries which included the Vice Chancellor of SKUAST J, Principal Accountant General (Audit), Sr Dy Accountant General (A&E), Dean student welfare SKUAST J, Controller Examinations SKUAST J and Dy. Accountant General (Audit) .
The event was attended by an enthralling audience of Officers of the Principal Accountants General, Officers and academicians from SKUAST J, Students from 04 Jammu City colleges (MAM College, SPMR College, GGM Science College, GCW Parade ) and 2 Universities (Jammu University and SKUAST J) . The event started with a presentation by Ms Inabat Khaliq, Deputy Accountant General. She discussed the role and constitutional mandate of CAG. She also discussed the career opportunities for students to join the prestigious supreme audit institution of India . The presentation was followed by a brain storming session of debates on various contemporary topics by the participating colleges and universities. Prizes and participation certificates were presented to top two winning teams, besides to the best speaker.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sr. Dy Accountant General, Ravinder Singh. Thereafter light refreshments were distributed among all the participants and audience. The Programme was coordinated by Renu Kaul, Sr. Audit Officer and Nodal officer for the event.
