Deputy Commissioner reviews progress on Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes in Rajouri District

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to assess the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, aiming to ensure clean drinking water access for rural communities. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized the crucial aspects of high-quality work, timely project completion, and effective supervision to achieve the goals of the Jal Jeevan Mission. The discussion highlighted significant advancements in Rajouri, with 293 JJM schemes approved and active work on 266 schemes.
To accelerate the implementation of these schemes, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal directed officers to adopt a results-driven approach, adhering to strict timelines. Through focused efforts and dedicated work, the mission is rapidly transforming into a reality, promising a healthier and happier life for the residents of the region. For the schemes where the work has not been started yet, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to promptly address issues hindering the initiation of work on such schemes. Ensuring a swift resolution, he emphasized the need for immediate action to kickstart the projects at the earliest. The Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized the need for a holistic approach towards water management, emphasizing that it is not just about providing access to clean drinking water but also about preserving and sustainably utilizing this vital resource. This meeting was a testament to the commitment of the District Administration to implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission effectively, ensuring that rural areas have access to a basic necessity – clean drinking water.
The Deputy Commissioner directed them to continue working with dedication and commitment to achieve the objectives of the mission.
