PM’s visit on border boosts morale of jawans: Dr Manyal

Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary and former minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, has termed the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to borders on Diwali as a very special event for the brave Indian soldiers.
Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi flying to Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh, to celebrate this year’s Diwali with the Indian soldiers, Dr. Manyal said that it boosts the morale of our brave security personnel, posted on borders to safeguard their motherland.
He said that after coming to power in 2014, the Prime Minister, has been visiting borders to celebrate the festival of Diwali with the army men and other security forces.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that India has long borders with China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Mayanmar, which are, round the clock, guarded and protected by large contingents of army. These army personnel are performing duties in very harsh weather conditions, deserts, hilly areas and difficult terrains. They remain away from their families, relatives and friends on many occasions like festivals and family functions. For them safety and security of countrymen is of utmost importance, for which they put their lives to risk and many among them achieve martyrdom while defending borders.
On occasion like Diwali, when the jawans wish to be at home to celebrate festival with their dear ones, the visit of Prime Minister to their camps on borders and sharing sweets, gives them joy and happiness. It not only makes them feel happy that the PM of the country is himself with them but boosts their morale, he said.
Dr. Manyal said that the Prime Minister, while celebrating Diwali with the jawans in Lepcha, had very high appreciation for the armed forces, which according to him, they play important role in evacuation operations in violence hit areas, saving lives in earthquake hit areas and during other calamities, besides performing their regular duties.
The BJP leader said that the Indian Army and other forces are performing their duties with sincerity and commitment and the nation is indebted to all of them and Prime Minister, in one way, also expresses gratitude to them on behalf of the countrymen for protecting their motherland when he reaches their camps to celebrate a festival.
