DC Rajouri attends B2V5 activities at Saranoo Panchayat of Dhangri Block

As a part of series of activities being carried out across the district as a part of the fifth phase of the ambitious Back to Village programme, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today undertook a comprehensive tour of Saraano Panchayat of Dhangri block. During the tour, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal engaged with the public in the presence of the visiting officer, Chief Engineer PWD(R&B) Anil Kumar Pandohi for Saranoo Panchayat.
Interactions with locals provided valuable insights into the public concerns, including issues related to power supply, water availability, road conditions, and health services. Residents expressed a collective desire for improvements in these essential services, underlining the crucial role they play in enhancing their daily lives. Addressing the public on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized that the foremost priority of the UT administration is to deliver basic facilities directly to the doorsteps of the common masses. He highlighted the persistent efforts of the administration to eliminate inconveniences from the daily lives of the public, making it clear that initiatives like Back to Village play a pivotal role in efficiently addressing public grievances. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal shed light on different welfare schemes and government programs designed for the general public. He assured the community that the LG administration is committed to ensuring that the benefits of these initiatives reach every individual in the Union Territory. This commitment reflects the dedication of the administration to inclusive development, leaving no beneficiary untouched. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal urged Sarpanches, Panches, and senior citizens to actively participate in the formulation of plans for the effective development of their respective areas. This call for a participatory role underscores the importance of community engagement in shaping the destiny of their region.
The residents of Rajouri echoed their acknowledgment of the significance of such initiatives, pledging unwavering cooperation with the administration in these grand developmental festivities. This collaborative partnership between the people and the administration not only signifies a shared vision but also promises to pave the way for a brighter and more prosperous future for the Rajouri district.
Among the others, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; XEN PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan; Block Development Officer Dhangri, Heena Kouser, Sarpanches, panches and general public attended the event.
Meanwhile, “Back to Village programme” was held across 108 panchayats of seven blocks including Darhal, Dhangri, Doongi, Khawas, Panjgrain, Plangarh, and Rajouri in the district.
With an overarching goal of bringing governance to the very doorsteps of rural communities, the dedicated officers Prabharis chaired pivotal meetings that have transpired, bringing together key stakeholders, department officials, and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). These discussions delve deep into the core challenges faced by the panchayats, fostering a collaborative approach towards resolution.
Amidst these endeavors, the designated officers lend a compassionate ear to the expressed grievances, documenting each concern with a commitment to address them in a phased and systematic manner. The people of Rajouri, recognizing the steadfast efforts of the Government to connect with them on their own turf, express admiration for this participatory governance model. It is a testament to community-led development, showcasing the potential for positive change at the grassroots level.
