In May last year, an NIA court had framed charges against Watali and others under various sections of the UAPA. According to the NIA, Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali along with others used to make financial arrangements to promote separatist activities.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday attached 17 immovable properties of Tihar Jail inmate Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali at Bagatpora Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Watali was arrested in 2017. He has been in jail since then.

The NIA team has pasted attachment notices near 13.3 Marla, 8.6 Marla and 10.3 Marla land during the action. Earlier, on May 31, Watali’s house near Gurudwara in Bagat area of ​​Srinagar was attached on the orders of NIA Special Court (Patiala House Court, New Delhi).

Explain that in May last year, the NIA court (trial court) had framed charges against Watali and others under various sections of IPC and UAPA (Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act).
