Karnataka CM News: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief DK Shivakumar on Monday met hundreds of his supporters who had gathered  outside his residence in Bengaluru to wish him on his birthday. Shivakumar’s supporters waited for hours with cakes to wish the Congress leader, who is among the top runners for Karnataka’s chief ministerial position.

“We have passed a one-line resolution. We will leave it to the party’s high command. I have not decided to go to Delhi. I have done whatever job I have to do,” said Shivakumar on the decision on Karnataka CM.

Before Shivakumar went to the Shagri-La Hotel in Bengaluru for a meeting of the Congress Legislative Party Meeting, he was presented with flower bouquets and garlands.

“I am celebrating the birthday of Shivakumar for 20 years. I am his close aide. Every year the cake is sported with a message that you are the future CM,” said Shamsher Beig, who also waited for hours to wish his favourite leader.

He stated that in order to fulfill the electoral promises made in the Congress’ manifesto, Shivakumar must be appointed Chief Minister.

“The youth, Congress party, and everyone wants Shivakumar to be appointed as our Chief Minister,” he said.

After Congress’ amazing triumph in the southern state in Assembly elections, both state chief DK Shivakumar and senior leader Siddaramaiah are purportedly looking at the post of the chief minister.

Randeep Singh Surjewala, a leader of the Congress and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in charge of Karnataka, stated late on Sunday that party chief Mallikarjun Kharge will soon announce the name of the next chief minister of Karnataka.
