Nawabad Police shifted the body to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, to identify the dead body and ascertain the cause. Migrant workers living around the Tawi river are going to the settlements and showing the picture of the deceased so that his identification can be possible.
People saw the man lying unconscious in the junk on the river bank behind the Press Club on the Tawi bridge going from Dogra Chowk to Bikram Chowk. The passers-by informed the police personnel posted at Dogra Chowk. As a result, a team from the Nawabad police station was sent to the spot.
