The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, with a team of J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (JKIMPA&RD) today reviewed the Tawi River Front Development project and other important projects being executed in Jammu under Smart City Mission.
JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma; Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee Raj Kumar Tarkhan; Chairman Social Justice Committee Ajay Gupta; Chairman Swachh Bharat Committee Hardeep Mankotia and representatives of JKIMPA&RD Assistant Professor, Coordinator Prof. Manju Kapoor & Prof. Sunita Zalpuri.
Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL), General Manager, Harvinder Singh with Consultant team, Senior officials from JSCL, and JMC and contractors of Tawi River Development front projects were also present on occasion.
Officials briefed JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta about the progress of Tawi River Front Development. Hon’ble Mayor was apprised that work on both sides of the 3.5 KM long riverfront is in progress.
JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta directed the project executing company to clear the bottlenecks and execute the project in the time frame. He also assured support to the project executing company to complete the project before the government’s deadline.
He also congratulates the people of Jammu for Tawi River Development front project.
He also thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Sh. Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh for the project. “Work has been commissioned hereafter the efforts of Divisional Commissioner Dr Raghav Langar and JMC Commissioner Avny Lavasa,” he said. Lauding the officials’ efforts, Chander Mohan Gupta said the ambitious project is being developed on the lines of the Sabarmati riverfront in Gujarat. The JMC teams have thoroughly studied the Sabarmati riverfront and now River Tawi River Development front project is being executed with state-of-art facilities,” he said.
After this, the JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, also visited other project sites, including vertical garden Selfie point, Dogra Chowk and Apsara road project. He appreciated the officials for ongoing work and asked them to complete all the projects in time.
