A CBI team raided the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) office at Railhead Complex in Jammu on Monday morning. The CBI had investigated this office a few months ago, and once again, on Monday, the team reached the office and investigated the malpractices in the release of PF of some employees here. The CBI team has reached the EPFO office with full force, and there is a possibility that this investigation will go on till late evening.

If sources are to be believed, this rigging case is related to the Jammu and Kashmir Provident Fund Department. Before the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir, there was a separate PF department in the state. According to sources, during that period, their PF amount was withdrawn from outside Jammu and Kashmir by misusing the personal information of some employees.

Without the knowledge of the employees, part of their lifetime earnings have been fraudulently taken out, and on the complaint of the aggrieved employees, the CBI started investigating the matter by registering a case. According to the information received so far, the CBI team is interrogating the employees of JK PF, and the records of the aggrieved employees are being scanned to know when and how the money was withdrawn from their account.

It should be mentioned here that before the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir, there was a PF department under the Labor Department, and here, the record was completely manual, and the withdrawal of PF was also done personally. But, despite this, how does this evacuation take place from outside the state? is being investigated.

Although the CBI has not officially given any information about this investigation, according to the CBI spokesperson, they had received complaints about some irregularities in the release of PF, based on which the investigation is going on.
