Security forces and agencies will have to fight against terrorism, narco-terror, and drone challenges. For this purpose, terrorist challenges will be dealt with in proper coordination with the army, security forces, intelligence agencies and police. Security arrangements will be strengthened for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. This was stated by Lt Gen Ananth Narayanan, GOC of Rising Star Corps, in a conference with officers of various security agencies. Home Secretary Shaleen Kabra, Director General of Police Dilbag Singh and many other senior officers were also present in the program.
The security forces agreed to formulate a retaliatory strategy to thwart the drone challenge. Apart from this, buying drones was taken to counter the drone challenge. Furthermore, it was ensured that no weapons and drugs could be dropped from across the border through drones along the Line of Control or International Border in the Jammu region.
Dissatisfaction with the recent draft of the Delimitation Commission was also discussed at the high-level security conference. Sources said that a close watch would be kept on the reactions coming out on the reshuffle in many other areas, including the merger of the Rajouri-Poonch areas with the Anantnag parliamentary constituency.
