Two overground workers of Lashkar-e-Taiba arrested in Budgam, cache of weapons recovered

Police and security forces got a big success on Friday. Two overground workers of Lashkar-e-Taiba, i.e. OGW, were arrested along with a cache of weapons. The arrested overground workers are being interrogated. It is being told that both of them were about to deliver this consignment of weapons to the terrorists. But in time, this plan of the terrorists was thwarted.

According to the information received, in Budgam district of South Kashmir, the police received secret information that two youths were going somewhere with a consignment of weapons. They seem to be part of a conspiracy to commit a terrorist act. As soon as the information was received, the police started a search operation in the mentioned Chadoora area along with the army and CRPF personnel. During this, two youths were arrested. He had a bag. The bag contained two grenades, an assault rifle, two magazines and 30 cartridges.

Police took both the arrested youths to the police station and started interrogation when it came to knowing that one’s name is Imran Majeed Magre and the other’s name is Aqib Amin. Where are the two residents, information has not been given by the police about this yet? However, both admitted to the police that they work for Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. They keep in touch with terrorist masters. He has been providing shelter, essential goods and weapons for the terrorists. Police have started the investigation by registering a case in this regard.

On Friday, the bomb disposal squad defused a grenade recovered from a graveyard located in Magarmalbagh, Srinagar. A grenade was found during soil filling in the cemetery. This information was given to the police. The police had seized that grenade. It has now been safely disabled. The terrorists must have either kept this grenade hidden or had fallen.
