SRINAGAR: Security forces on Thursday averted a major tragedy by defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Quoting official sources said that the IED weighing about 5 kg was detected by 50 RR, 183 Battalion of CRPF and SOG near the graveyard of village Wanpora in Pulwama.
It was later destroyed by the bomb disposal squad of the security forces, an official said.
