Dogra Front Shiv Sena on Monday demonstrated against the power crisis caused by the strike by the electricity workers and asked the electricity workers not to turn people against them. No movement can be won by angering the people. There has been no electricity in most parts of the city for the last two days. Due to this, the supply of drinking water has also been affected. People are in trouble during the cold days.
The workers raised slogans and asked the administration to talk to these employees to end the power crisis, and their issue should be resolved. Dogra Front Shiv Sena activists gathered in the Rani Park area on Monday and started protesting. These workers requested the Finance Commissioner to speak to the striking power workers themselves to deal with the present situation. Addressing the occasion, State President Ashok Gupta said that there is a cold climate, and everyone is shivering with the cold. In this time of crisis, no such step should be taken that the people’s suffering will increase. If people turn against themselves, the fight for electricity workers will fade away.
He said that going on strike at present is not favourable. Therefore, the electricity workers should take the people along so that the movement can be successful. It is not the right step to put people in trouble by stopping the electricity suddenly. On the other hand, Dogra Front Shiv Sena raised slogans against the administration. He said that understanding these electricity employees’ problems should solve the problem as soon as possible. Talk to these employees. He said that the government has not been able to formulate any policy regarding daily wage workers in Jammu and Kashmir.
