The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is engaged in completely dismantling the network of terrorist-political nexus and terror funding in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, has summoned the senior leader of People’s Democratic Party and Vice President of District Development Council, Ganderbal Bilal Ahmed for questioning. According to the information received, the NIA has sent a notice to Bilal Ahmed, a senior leader of PDP in district Ganderbal and vice-president of DDC Ganderbal, for questioning. He has been asked to appear at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on December 23.
Although Bilal Ahmed has refused to comment on the NIA notice, sources concerned said that he is to be interrogated in terrorist, separatist, and terror funding cases. In the last few months, the NIA has detained around 60 suspected elements in the plaintiffs for questioning in connection with terrorist activities. During the interrogation of these people, the name of Bilal Ahmed has also come to the fore. Therefore, the NIA has also investigated them before sending them notices for questioning.
