In Aadhar Camp Katra, funds are being provided to the needy families coming into the municipal area under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. On Saturday, Municipal President Vimal Indu, along with others, provided the first instalment to 18 families to construct houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in the municipal office. Municipality President Vimal Indu said that the municipality Katra had benefited about one hundred families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This work continues continuously.
Vimal Indu said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a total of Rs 2 lakh 45 thousand is being provided to the beneficiary for making one room, one kitchen, one toilet etc. This amount is offered in four instalments. As the first instalment, checks of sixty thousand were presented to the beneficiaries. Vimal Indu said that cheques were given to 18 beneficiaries of Ward No. 5, Ward No. 13, Ward No. 9, Ward No. 11, Ward No. 12, Ward No. 3 etc., under Municipality Katra. Municipal Vice President Ajay Baru and Municipality CEO Preeti Sharma were present on this occasion.
On the other hand, the local people expressed happiness in getting financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that the second instalment should also be received on time so that his house would be ready as soon as possible. This assistance from the government is a significant relief for a needy family.
