Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board has extended the last date to apply online for the post of Sub Inspector. This has given relief to the candidates. The board will select for the first time for 1200 posts of Sub Inspector. Earlier the Police Department used to recruit the post of Sub Inspector. The maximum age limit to apply for the position of Sub Inspector was earlier kept 28 years, but it was increased by two years to 30 years on the demand of the candidates.
According to the notification issued by the Secretary of the Board, the date of applying for the post of Sub Inspector will now be 18 December 2021. Earlier, the last date to fill this post was 10 December. The board said that many candidates had raised the issue of extension of the later date to apply online, because of which it has now been decided that the last date is being extended. On the other hand, the board has said that as soon as there is a proposal from the Home Department to increase the age limit from 28 years to 30 years, the board will implement it.
There is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth for the post of Sub Inspector. The Lieutenant Governor has already said that complete transparency will fill the positions. However, the youth are demanding that the age limit be increased because the posts could not be removed due to the situation arising out of Corona.
