Administrative Council Approves Setting up of CRPF Camp on 524 kanals of land in Kashmir

The Administrative Council has approved the proposal of the Revenue Department to transfer the land for several public purposes, including setting up CRPF camps in different districts of Kashmir. This will enable the CRPF personnel and their families to get safe and proper accommodation. Apart from this, space has also been given for the accommodation of displaced Kashmiri workers. These decisions were taken in a meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The Council transferred 524 Kanal 11, Marla of land, in favour of CRPF for setting up a Battalion Camp. This land is Brah village of Shangas tehsil of Anantnag district, Jummo village of Pahalgam tehsil of Anantnag district, Subhanpahadi village of Bijbehara tehsil of Anantnag district, Alopora village of Keegam tehsil of Shopian district, Javura Baderhama village of Shopian tehsil, Tehsil of Pulwama district. The towns of Kakapora include the Ukhu, Kadalbal and Koil villages of Tehsil Pampore of Pulwama district.

The land will be transferred instead of payment as per the notified stamp duty rates for 2021. The Administrative Council approved the transfer of twenty kanals of land in Pakh to the Police Department to construct the SDPO Office and Police Station Lithar in District Pulwama.

Not only this, but the Council has also transferred 122 kanals of land in favour of the Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department for the construction of one-room accommodation for Kashmiri displaced workers appointed under the PM development package. These houses will be built in Kupwara, Baramulla and Budgam districts.
