The district administration has notified ten places for the Sale of firecrackers on Diwali. Along with this, the Sale of firecrackers was banned in other places on November 30.
The places notified for Sale of firecrackers include JDA Parking (near Fortune Hotel), JDA Parking opposite Vishal Mega Mart Bahu Plaza, Sabzi Mandi Muthi (near Director School Education Office) on JDA land, Main Market behind Trikuta Nagar JDA Grounds, Sainik Colony Dussehra Ground, JDA Land near Narwal, JDA Park Roop Nagar, Kunjwani Talab near Peer Baba, Bagh-e-Bahu and Kasim Nagar (near Radisson Blu Hotel).
In another order, wholesale and retail sale of the chocolate bomb, chain cracker (black cracker, loose cracker), rich cracker, dodma, seven-shot, rocket bomb, garlic cracker, state bomb has been banned in district Jammu. This ban has been imposed to control noise pollution.
