SRINAGAR: A suspicious object was found along the Baramulla Kupwara highway in north Kashmir, official sources said following intelligence inputs about possible IED attacks in the area.
The object was found by the road opening party (ROP) of the Border Security Force near Saidpora village in Rafiabad. “The suspicious item was approximately five meters from the road.
Soon after senior security officials reached the spot and a bomb disposal squad was called in to check it,” an official source said, adding the area was cordoned and the traffic on the highway was also closed.
