A girl allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming poison a few hours before her wedding in Rajgarh area on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, a 19-year-old girl identified as Ram Latta Devi, daughter of Daleep Chand Bhagat, resident of Hiller Kunda Tehsil Rajgarh consumed poisonous substance in her house.
On getting the information, she was brought to the district hospital Ramban in an unconscious state for treatment. According to reports, she was to be married on Tuesday to a youth resident of Gagla Kastigarh and the procession had already reached his house on Monday night.
J&K Police has started investigation to find out the reasons behind the girl’s move.
