3 booked for preparing fake Will Deed to grab property worth crores

JAMMU: Crime Branch Jammu has booked three persons for preparing a fake Will Deed to grab immovable property worth crores of rupees.

A criminal case under relevant provisions of law has been registered against Vikas Sharma , son of Late Munshi Ram Sharma, resident of 230-A Old Rehari Jammu, Ajay Salgotra son of Om Parkash Salgotra , resident of F-281, Bakhsi Nagar, Jammu and Karan Singh Bandryal son of Shanker Singh , resident of Ward No. 49 Channi Rama Jammu for hatching a criminal conspiracy and preparing a fake Will Deed in respect of deceased Poonam Sharma, wife of late Krishan Lal Sharma, to grab the immovable property of the deceased.

The case was registered following a written complaint lodged by Arun Sharma, son of Late P K Sharma, resident of H No 230-C, Ambphala, Jammu, duly forwarded by the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class City Judge, Jammu. The complainant alleged that Vikas Sharma and his wife Madhu Sharma, who were in litigation with respect to House No. 230, Ambphalla, Jammu with complainant, forged a Will Deed alleged to have been executed by deceased Poonam Sharma in order to usufruct the property. The alleged Will Deed was sent for expert opinion for comparison of signature in FSL Jammu by the Principal District and Session Judge Jammu.

The FSL expert gave his expert opinion that the questioned signatures do not agree with the admitted signatures in minute and inconspicuous details of formation and combination of various characters. The complainant had further alleged that said Vikas Sharma was not having blood relation with deceased Poonam Sharma. He had intentionally/deliberately in connivance with his wife forged the Will Deed with the main motive to grab the property of the deceased Poonam Sharma.

During the course of enquiry, oral as well as documentary evidences were collected and the allegations were prima facie substantiated against the suspects, which constitute offences punishable under section 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B RPC. Accordingly, a formal case was registered in Police Station Crime Branch, Jammu against the suspects for in-depth investigation.
