In its drive `Frari Ki Giraftari’, Reasi Police has arrested five absconding surrendered terrorists among 21 persons who were wanted in different cases and evaded arrest. Giving details, SSP Reasi, Shailender Singh informed that the District Police has arrested 21 more absconders evading arrests for years and executed 35 warrants in the last four weeks.
“Hundred absconding criminals, who included four OGWs, ten surrendered militants, five murder and attempt to murder accused, 19 involved in kidnapping and rape, 09 involved in drug peddling and 53 involved in other offences have been so far arrested and produced in the concerned courts since May 2021,” he said. Surrendered militant and accused in an attempt to murder-Makhna son of Baji, resident of Thuroo-Arnas was wanted in case FIR number 129/98 under section 307, 148, 149 RPC 4/25 Indian Arms Act, Police Station Arnas, was arrested by a team of Reasi Police after developing specific information about his presence in Jammu.
Surrendered militants of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit & absconding Wali Mohd alias Waliya son of Allah Din of Thuroo Mahore was arrested from Jajnali Pir Panjal Dhok. He was wanted in murder case FIR number 84/1994 U/S 302, 395, 121, 120-B, 379 RPC 7/25 Arms Act of Police Station Mahore.
Another surrendered militant and absconding criminal, Abdul Latif, son of Mohd Yousaf of Chakras, Tehsil Mahore, was wanted in case FIR No 207/2002 U/S 307, 120-B, 121-A, 122, 123, RPC, 7/25-26-27 Indian Arms Act at Police Station Mahore. He has been arrested after 19 years of the commission of a crime.
Surrendered militant Abdul Rashid, son of Abdullah of Dada, Tehsil Mahore, was absconding in a proved ‘attempt to murder’ case FIR no 207/2002 U/S 307, 120-B, 121-A, 122, 123 RPC 7/25/26/27 I A Act of Police Station Mahore.
A team of Reasi Police has arrested him after 19 years of the commission of the crime. Attempt to murder accused and a militant of Gani son of Shams Din of Thanda Soo, Tehsil Mahore was absconding in case FIR number 187/2001 under section 307 RPC 7/27/26 Arms Act of Police Station Mahore. He has been arrested after 20 years of the commission of the crime.
