Four gamblers held with stake money

Kanachak police today arrested four gamblers with stake money of Rs 27500 from Dub Sudan area.

A police team of police station Kanachak headed by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh while on patrolling duty in its jurisdiction, received an information about the gamblers at Dub Sudan near Smadhi. On this, police teams swiftly raided the place and held four gamblers along with Rs 27500 of stake money and one deck of playing cards.

In this regard, cognizance taken under Section 13 of Public Gambling Act registered by police station Kanachak and the accused were arrested. The arrested gamblers were identified as Sandeep Singh son of Himmat Singh of Kanachak, Yogesh Sharma son of Ram Krishan of Kanachak, Ravi Sharma son of Om Parkash of Panjore and Sanjay Sharma son of Madan Lal of Panjore.

The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul. Further investigation of the case is going on.
