Jammu and Kashmir police arrested 16 gamblers and recovered stake money worth lakhs of rupees in the down town city on Friday, official sources said.
They said on a tip-off, a police party raided a gambling din at Paimpora in the down town city Friday.
During the raid, police arrested 16 gamblers who had come from different parts of the valley for gambling.
Cash and gold worth lakhs of rupees besides playing cards were recovered from the gambling din.
