SRINAGAR: J&K Bank CMD R K Chhibber Monday honoured Ishfaq Abdullah Shah (Banking Attendant) for his exemplary act of safeguarding Bank’s property during a recent fire incident at its Business Unit Budgam.
The CMD handed-over a ‘Letter of Appreciation’ along with a cash incentive of Rs 10000 to Ishfaq Abdullah at the Bank’s corporate headquarters in presence of President (HRD) Chetan Paljore, President & Special Secretary to CMD Karanjit Singh, President (BSD) Ashutosh Sarin, Zonal Head Kashmir Central – 2 Tabassum Nazir, Vice President (HR) Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, Cluster Head Azad Ahmad Bhat and Head BU Budgam Syed Jameel Qadri.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD said, “Demonstration of such dedication towards the Bank is worth emulating for every staff member because it strongly exemplifies the commitment to serve our beloved organization by going beyond routine work” Notably, living in the vicinity of the BU Budgam, Ishfaq Abdullah had rushed to the spot to douse the fire which had broken out in the server room of the BU due to short circuit on July 17, 2021. Risking his life while exhibiting commendable valor and presence of mind, he averted huge loss to infrastructure of the Bank.
While receiving the ‘citation and cash’, Ishfaq Abdullah expressed his deep gratitude to the bank’s leadership for acknowledging his dedication for the Bank.
