MENDHAR: The Police accompanied by Tata Salt Company officials have seized 235 packets of duplicate Tata Salt at Harni Bazar in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch.
Official sources said that police received complaint that duplicate Tata Salt in packers of one kg has been flooded by some fraudsters in Harni and Mendhar area. On this, the police team accompanied by some officials from Tata Salt Company, New Delhi conducted raid in Harni Market today and seized duplicate Tata salt packets from a wholesale shop.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, Dr Vinod Kumar confirmed about the recovery of duplicate salt packets. He said an FIR has been lodged at Police Station Gursai in this regard and investigations has been launched.
The police was trying to reach up to the source of duplicate goods.
