The police has registered an FIR against eight persons including two women, for attack on Sarpanch and her son and daughter when they were returning after completion of plantation awareness drive in Marchola area of Sunderbani .
Reports said some people associated with land mafia, intercepted BJP Sarpanch, Sukhdev Kour when she concluded awareness on plantation drive programme and was returning home on car. Her son was driving car and daughter was sitting with her. The children were also injured as the attackers caused damaged to car by pelting stones. They also threatened the Sarpanch to eliminate her.
The incident took place when Sarpanch was on way to her home and one Noor Hussain, son of Wali Mohammad and Abdul Ghani, son of Kala Ahmed both resident of Marchola with six others, intercepted her way and attacked on her. They also pelted stones on the vehicle. In this attack, Sarpanch and her son- Harneek Singh and daughter -Gurleen Kour were also injured.
Sunderbani police has registered a FIR under section 382, 341, 336, 147, 427, 330, 504 & 506 IPC against Noor Hussain, son of Wali Mohammad, Afara Bibi wife of Noor Hussain, Arshad Ahmed, son of Noor Hussain, Sanjay Kumar , son of Balak Ram, Munshi Ahmed, son of Noor Mohammad, Noor Ahmed son of Alla Ditta, Abdul Ghani, son of Kaka and Azmet Bibi wife of Noor Hussain- all residents of village Marchola tehsil Sunderbani district Rajouri. The police was searching for the accused.
