JAMMU: Barely two weeks after an explosive-laden drone dropped payloads in the Indian Air Force station in Jammu, forces spotted yet another unidentified aerial vehicle in the same defence installation on Wednesday night.

Alert forces were able to thwart the alleged terror bid with the help of the anti-drone equipment which detected the UAV and eliminated it. The anti-radar technology which was installed was able to detect the drone immediately.

The drone was spotted at a height of around 3 kilometres, and during probe the security forces found that the UAV was flying at a speed of 9 metres/second. Once the ‘killer drone’ system was activated, forces were able to jam the drone.

As soon as this was done, the drone dropped to the ground. Search operations are underway and security agencies are trying to ascertain whether the UAV was carrying a payload.
