KATHUA: In its recent action against drug dealings and to neutralize the activities of drug peddlers within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal arrested two drug peddlers, recovered 10 grams of Chitta like contraband and seized the vehicle involved.
A police team led by Inspector, Sumeet Sharma, SHO Police Station (PS), Lakhanpur under the supervision of Dy.SP DAR, Kathua, Sukhdev Singh intercepted one motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK08D-5825 and apprehended two suspects namely Shedda wife of Roshan Din of Maggar Khad and Mohammad Ali son of Shaba of Chadwal. During checking approximately 10 grams of Chitta like contraband was recovered from them.
Thereafter both of the accused were arrested, vehicle seized and contraband like item seized. A case FIR No. 86/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Lakhanpur and further investigation is underway.
