On spotting suspicious people on the borders of Jammu by local residents, the areas of Poonch, Rajouri, Samba and Kathua have been put on red alert.
According to reports, suspects with weapons and in Army uniform were eye-witnessed by a local resident in Jatwal area of Samba as he noticed a movement in the fields late night. Jatwal is an old infiltration route for the terrorists and has been in talks several times.
After the incident along with others in neighbouring districts was reported to Police, a search operation was conducted since today morning by J&K Police to collect information about the suspects. However, no evidence has been collected till now.
The drone mapping detected at the borders and in city areas has created an incline towards terrorist activities. The Administration has put the borders of Jammu on alert to ensure the safety of people and infiltration checks by the security staff.
