A soldier was killed and another injured in a lightning strike along the Line of Control (LoC) in Saujiyan area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, officials said.
Chowki Officer, Manzoor Ahmad said that lightning struck the Khalsa Post of the Army late last night, leaving a soldier dead and another injured.
He identified the deceased soldier as Mandeep Singh of 11 Garhwal regiment.
The injured soldier, identified as Deepak of 40 RR, as shifted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
