KATHUA: District police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal, apprehended an notorious criminal who was having more than half dozen of FIRs of heinous offences in his name in the UT of J&K and Delhi.
Police said on reliable information a team led by Inspector, Bhopinder Singh, SHO Police Station (PS), Rajbagh and under the supervision of SDPO Border, Sachit Mahajan today apprehended an notorious criminal from Hamirpur, Kathua namely Sham Murti alias Shamu, son of Om Parkash of Hamirpur who was evading his arrest in case FIR No. 83/2021 U/S 341/323/ 34/295-A. Also, the accused was a hardcore criminal who had been involved in various criminal activities for long as different FIRs have been registered in different PSs of District Kathua, police said.
In addition, more than half dozen FIRs also stand registered in the National Capital Delhi Region in various heinous crimes. Accordingly accused was arrested and further investigation was set into motion, police said.
