JAMMU: In addition to routine sanitation activities, JMC launched a special sanitation drive on the directions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Avny Lavasa in the areas of Gujjar Nagar, Qasim Nagar, Sheikhpura Bahu Fort, University Road, etc.
The aim for launching this special sanitation drive is to contain the spread of corona virus. During the drive, every nook and corner of the areas falling within the jurisdiction of JMC shall be covered under the overall supervision of Dr Sanjogita Soodan, Health Officer, JMC. Thorough cleaning/desilting of the lanes/drains in all the areas was done today. Besides, sprinkling of lime was also done to beat the odour and foul smell. Additional men and machinery was also deployed during the drive.
The JMC Commissioner appealed the people to cooperate the Corporation and use identified places for disposal of garbage
