JAMMU: The first case of Black Fungus was reported on Thursday in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. Hospital sources said that the first case of Black Fungus has been diagnosed in Covid -19 patient admitted in GMC Jammu. The patient has turned negative for Covid-19, though critical. Steroids and high sugar level is believed to be the reason for Black Fungus. Meanwhile, an official said that Black Fungus does not spread from person to person like Covid-19.
