JAMMU: Jammu Police have arrested at least 12 persons, including the owner, after raiding a ‘Hookah Bar’ during Corona Curfew in posh Gandhi Nagar locality.
Station House Officer, Police Station, Gandhi Nagar, Bharat Sharma said that acting on specific information, a police team led by First Class Magistrate, Jammu South, raided ‘Vedas Cafe’, which was open during Corona Curfew period. “A group of youngsters were present inside the Bar and were enjoying a party,” said the officer. He, however, added that they were consuming ‘Hookah’ and other drinks. As per reports, a group of girls were also present inside the cafe.
“We have arrested 12 persons including the Cafe owner Uday Suri in Disaster and Management Act and Epidemic Diseases Act,” he said, adding that further investigations into the matter are in progress.
