3 Jamaat Workers booked under UAPA

Srinagar : J&K Police have booked three Jamaat workers from Jamat-e-Islami organization under UAPA, Unlawful Activities Act in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.

3 activists from Jamat-e-Islami were arrested earlier and today they were booked on charges of harbouring, aiding terrorists as well as hatching conspiracy.

These 3 Jamaat workers have been identified as Mudasir Hasan Mir, resident of Sallar, Abdul Hayat Alaie, resident of Audoora Kulgam, living presently in Sallar village and Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a resident of village Lever.

A case vide FIR number 35/2021 has been registered against the 3 Jamaat workers. They have been booked under section 10 (Penalty for being a member of an unlawful association, etc.) 11 (Penalty for dealing with funds of an unlawful association) 13 (Punishment for unlawful activities) 18 (Punishment for conspiracy, etc) 19 (Punishment for harbouring, etc) 20 (Punishment for being member of gang or terrorist organisation) 38 (Offence relating to membership of a terrorist organisation) 39 (Offence relating to support given to a terrorist organisation) 40 (Offence of raising fund for a terrorist organisation) of ULA (P) Act.
