5 steps meal plan to boost immunity amid COVID

For those suffering from coronavirus, Centre had earlier recommended dark chocolate, turmeric milk and protein-rich foods.

The government suggested a basic diet plan, through mygovindia’s Twitter handle, to help improve immunity and preserve muscle strength and energy.

Covid-19 causes patients to lose their sense of taste and smell as well as their appetite and ability to swallow food. Since it could lead to muscle loss, the government has recommended consuming soft foods at regular intervals.

1- Start the day by consuming soaked almonds and raisin.

Almonds are rich source of proteins and raisins provide good amount of iron.

While soaking may lead to some improvements in digestion and nutrient availability, unsoaked almonds are still a healthy addition to your diet. These nuts are a good source of fiber, protein, and healthy fats, as well as an excellent source of vitamin E, manganese, and magnesium.

And soaked raisins , detoxifies the Body, regulates Blood Pressure, supports Digestive health, strengthens immune system, promotes bone and teeth health, prevents anemia, protects the heart and give a kick start to your overall day.

2-For breakfast, ragi dosa or bowl of porridge is the best option.
