NEW DELHI: Government today said that more than 76 per cent of new Covid 19 cases are reported from ten states.
These States are Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Union Health Ministry has said, Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 62 thousand 97.
It is followed by Uttar Pradesh with 29 thousand 574 while Delhi reported 28 thousand 395 new cases. India’s total Active Caseload has reached over 21 lakh 57 thousand. The five States of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala cumulatively account for over 60 per cent of India’s total Active Cases.
The Ministry said, ten States account for over 82 per cent of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties 519 and Delhi with 277 daily deaths.
