KATHUA: Police continuing its action against illegal mining within the district again launched crackdown at various places and seized four vehicles in the jurisdiction of various police stations and police posts.
Among this, one tipper bearing Registration Number JK14D-0116 was seized by a team led by incharge Police Post Ramkot in its jurisdictional area. On the other hand,a team of Police Station, Billawar in its jurisdictional area near Bhini bridge seized a tractor indulged in illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material. Two more vehicles were seized by a team led by SHO Kathua in its jurisdictional area.
All these vehicles were handed over to the officials of Mining Department for further course of action. The crackdown was launched on the directives of SSP Kathua Romesh Chander Kotwal.
