RAJOURI: Army facilitated interaction between expert representative of Gratitude Farms, a Chinnai based NGO and local farmers at Palma in District Rajouri (J&K) on Friday.
The initiative was taken by Army to assist local farmers in adopting modern technology and methods to improve farm produce as also their income. The local farmers got to interact with the best agriculture professionals and Scholars who have a long experience in helping farmers in increasing their incomes. The NGO also made the farmers aware about optimal use of land/ field as per the soil contents for maximum productivity and provisioning of assured buyers of the produce. The lecture was attended by 38 farmers hailing from nearby areas.
The event was highly appreciated by all attendees including women farmers of the region. Indian Army has decided to take this initiative further for betterment of local farming community of the region.
