JAMMU: Owners of several commercial establishments held protest here on Friday.
A large number of owners of several commercial establishments led by their family members and relatives assembled near Sidhra on Narwal-Sidhra by pass and held protest. Amid slogans against the administration, the protestors blocked the vehicular movement on the bye-pass.
While talking to the media persons, one of the owners of the commercial establishments said that they have been forced to protest as no one hearing their issues, which they face after sealing of their establishments by the administration.
“We visited DC Office several times to project our issues, but no one pays any attention, which forced us to come on roads and held protest”, another protestor said. On getting information, senior officers from the administration rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors by assuring them to take up their issues with the concerned authorities.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed and vehicular movement was restored on the Narwal-Sidhra bye-pass.
It is pertinent to mention here that several commercial establishments, which prima facie appeared to have been constructed on State land from Narwal to Sidhra bypass road were sealed by the authorities.
