JAMMU: Bishnah Police busted thieves’ gang with the arrest of nine persons along with stolen motorcycles and other items.
This was stated by Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid while interacting with media persons at Police Station Bishnah. SP Adil Hamid stated that a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Anil Choudhary under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) RS Pura Shabir Khan while working over theft cases arrested 9 persons identified as Himanshu Nanda alias Janu, son of Tilak Raj, Ajay Kumar alias Aju, son of Vijay Kumar, Akash Thapa alias Kaka, son of Ratan Lal, Vivek Sharma alias Gopi, son of Kedar Nath, Anosh alias Kalu, son of James Maasi and Sandeep Singh, son of Karan Singh, Bua Ditta, son of Girdhari Lal, Raman Kumar alias Sunny, son of Mohinder Kumar and Sahil Kumar, son of Jaswinder Kumar.
“When put to sustain questioning, the arrested persons disclosed about the items, which they had stolen. On their disclosure, 12 stolen motorcycles, gold items, electric transformer, iron grills and many other items were recovered”, SP informed. “It is also pertinent to mention that a snatching case happened at Bishnah few months back and police was also able to arrest the accused with stolen gold chain.
Police also solved a burglary case and recovered gold and various other items with Rs 25000 cash”, SP Adil Hamid stated. SP informed that with the arrest of the accused, cases registered under FIR Numbers 163/2020, 41/2021, 45/2021 and 48/2021 with Police station Bishnah were solved.
