REASI: Two days Reasi District Judo Championship, organised by District Judo Association, concluded at Amba Kids Home Pantha Katra, Reasi. About 100 judokas participated in the championship.
The championship is organized under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association. Ashwani Katoch Principal AKHP was the chief guest and Shweta Thakur (State Awardee) was the guest of honour, whereas bouts were officiated by Manish Chatwal (Black Belt) Judo Instructor and Danish (Shrine Board Coach). In girls (40 kg), Divyanshi and Akshra clinched Gold and Silver medals, whereas in 48 kg category, top three medals were secured by Madhubala, Sneha and Sonali respectively and in 44 kg, Simran and Priya bagged Gold and Silver medals besides in 44 kg, Gold and Silver medals were won by Meenakshi and Shaista while Tanshika and Muskan shared Bronze medal.
In 40 kg, top three places were clinched by Fiza, Deepika and Manvi respectively. In boys (35 kg) category, Mukesh won Gold medal, Manik clinched Silver and Adhi-I and Abhi-II shared Bronze medals, whereas in 50 kg, top two medals were secured by Tushar and Naresh while Sahil and Akshit shared Bronze medals and in 25 kg, Atul bagged Gold medal, Shivyam secured Silver medal, whereas Manik and Harsh shared Bronze medal, besides in 30 kg Gold and Silver medals were won by Vansh and Ajay respectively and Danish and Anshuman jointly clinched Bronze medal.
In 73 kg, Vishwas Jamwal won Gold medal, whereas Madhav Singh secured Gold medal in 66 kg and in 60 kg, Akshay Sharma and Vishwa Partap Singh clinched Gold medals besides in 40 kg, Attab and Raj Kumar secured Gold and Silver medals while Chanderdeep and Akshit shared Bronze medal.
